The E-LAR programme, presented by the Minister of Environment and Energy, supports up to 30,000 households in replacing gas appliances with efficient electric solutions.

In early August 2025, the Minister of Environment and Energy presented the E-LAR Programme, an initiative to accelerate decarbonisation of the residential sector and reduce household energy costs, focused on renewable self-consumption and building energy retrofits (replacing old equipment, improving thermal insulation).

How it works

  • Applications open since early September 2025, via digital vouchers from the Environmental Fund, with no upfront payment
  • Financial support of up to €1,683, depending on the beneficiary's socioeconomic situation
  • Higher support for households with social tariffs or minimum social benefits
  • Aims to help around 30,000 households replace gas stoves, ovens and water heaters with high-efficiency electric versions
