StartSimple carried out a Preliminary Assessment (Case-by-Case Screening) under the RJAIA for a green hydrogen production unit in Santarém district, assessing whether a full EIA was required. The project involves hydrogen production by water electrolysis using renewable electricity, including compression, storage and injection into the National Gas Transport Network. The analysis considered water use, air emissions, noise, spatial planning, compatibility with classified areas and interaction with local communities, proposing mitigation measures.
