StartSimple was responsible for preparing a Cork Oak and Holm Oak Inventory for a solar PV plant located in the Centro Interior, Castelo Branco district, aiming to identify, georeference and characterise the specimens of these protected species present in the project's implementation area. The methodology included field surveying, photographic records and characterisation of each individual tree, using digital mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The inventory provided a solid technical basis for the licensing process, ensuring the project's compatibility with forest protection legislation and supporting the definition of compensation measures.
